Australian Open Round 3

It's 3degrees F outside (which is a whopping -16 Celcius!) so it's stay at home weekend for me.

Watching Federer vs Tipsarevic play it in the Round 3 of Aussie Open and Roger is in trouble....

He lost the first set, 7-6 after losing the tie breaker. :X

It's the second set and it's 5-4 Tipsarevic.

Hmmmm wonder what's gonna happen.... *ena staying glued to the TV*

EDIT 01/18/08 7PM CST: Roger won the game in the end....but Tipsarevic definitely gave him a hard time...http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/tennis/aus08/news/story?id=3203765

Tales of A Commuter - Chicago Edition Week 1

Sa NAIA pa lang, nagsimula nang bloopers ko. This trip made me realize a lot of things..and one of them is how wimp i truly am. As in....let's start...

Blooper girl galore

Bloop #1: Teary-eyed ena entering the NAIA terminal, looking back at na2r and mama, then grabbed the luggage push cart. But it's not running smoothly. We're looking at the queue and finding out where to line up for check-in. The cart's still not budging. Well, it does but sobrang hirap. Until manong said, "ma'am, you have to push on the handle bar for it to move". Okay, di nya sinabi yun, ina-act nya lang.. hehehe. so ayun naman pala, kelangan pang ganon. ~!@!@!#@

Bloop #2: The one thing I was looking forward in this trip is the Nagoya lay-over. So after the 5-hr flight from Manila, I'm really excited to see Japan, even if I'm only to see the airport. Before going into the connecting flight pre-dept area, we had to once again surrender our things into the X-Ray and the Nihon guy checks our passport and boarding pass. I had my boarding pass printed coz i checked-in online and when i showed it to him, he said "NO". Then I showed my printed airline itenerary/ticket, he said "NO". Ena's thought: "syet syet baka maiwan ako sa japan....okay lang din hehehehe". Then I showed him the boarding pass again, this time opening it and slapped it in his face (well hindi slap pero pinamukha ko sa kanya yung boarding pass), he said "Ah, Yes" whew! that was close.

Bloop #3: One second later, same guy, same place, I'm placing my hand-carry luggage into that little basket for the X-ray. I placed the little pillow that na2r gave me in the basket, he withdrew it and gave it back to me. I held it, placed all the other things into the basket and attempted to go in. Nihon guy practically shouted: " Matte! Matte!" and got the pillow from me. Aba! buti na lang naintindihan ko sya; at sya naman ang nagsoli nung pillow sa akin tapos tatawag-tawagin nya ako. hmph

Commercial #1: Just to show that I so loved the lay-over at Nagoya.....

May children's playground sa airport..madami nito.. kakkoi!

Got lost on the way to the magazine stand. Comments Station, nice!

EVA Air Hello Kitty planes

up close..cute ng Hello Kitty

Myojo Feb 2008 edition with lots of Johnny's boys - arashi, KAT-TUN, kahit hey say jump! sabi ko bibili talaga ako ng mag sa japan, and this is it! XD

Bloop #4: I was installing Chikka while cooking dinner on my second night here. Back and forth ako sa kitchen and living room (which is just 5 steps away), then I got busy with the configuration of Chikka and this is what happened:

burnt dinner. huhu.

Now on to my Wimpness...

Wimp #1: When I arrived in Oakwood, Di ko mabuksan yung mineral water bottle (complimentary of the house), si Khandice pa nagbukas. tsk tsk. Just shows how much I'm dependent of my na2r... x_x

Wimp #4: I can't make the can opener work properly! akalain mo yun!?!?! kasi ours at home is so oldie that I can't make the advanced one work. what a shame!

That's my first week....more bloopies and wimpness I bet. =P

Happy New Year!

Happy. New. Year. These words mean so much more to me this year than just simply greeting another year in my life. For starters, 2008 marks the 7th year of the ena and na2r loveteam. This is really something. And something that I am truly grateful for.

Another milestone this year is the trip which had me so excited, dreadful, happy, sad, thankful, wishful all at the same time. The holiday had been a rollercoaster ride in terms of this trip. But finally, the BIG DAY has come. 14 hours from now, I will be off to unchartered teritories, facing the giants that will be my friends and foe for the next six months.

The opportunities and lessons that I received the past year have been really great. And this year, I don't have any new year's resolution but just these simple wishes.

- That no matter how hard the next six months will be, we will get through this uncharred, tougher and stronger than ever.
- That no matter how big the challenges are, I will get through them and kick some caucasian a$$!. lol!
- That we may have the opportunity to get hitch in VEGAS! bwahahahahaha!

Thanks Mommy Ivy for the friendship and the new inaanak! ingat kayo ni baby!

Thanks Rog and Lui for the slumbook! Although this isn't a fancy scrapbook, I really appreciated it and hopefully it won't be ruined by spilt acetone (hehehe)

Thanks Ishy for the wonderful friendship/sisterhood that you've given me/us. You're a truly great girl and I know the challenges that you're experiencing will only make you stronger and much much more wonderful.

*EDIT 1/09/08
